Space: Science & Technology is a comprehensive, high-level international English-language scientific journal co-developed by the Beijing Institute of Technology, the China Academy of Space Technology, and AAAS/Science. It is jointly organized by Beijing Institute of Technology Press and the Beijing Institute of Space Science and Technology Information. The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief, Academician Ye Peijian, advisor at the China Academy of Space Technology and recipient of the "People's Scientist" national honorary title. Professor Deng Yulin from Beijing Institute of Technology, Chair of the Life Sciences Division of the International Academy of Astronautics, serves as the Executive Editor-in-Chief.
The journal aims to focus on the latest development directions and trends in the international aerospace field, showcase new theories, applications, and achievements emerging from the latest research and exploration activities, promote aerospace exploration research, and lead the rapid integration and technological breakthroughs in interdisciplinary space sciences. It serves as a professional academic exchange and information dissemination platform for researchers and engineers.
Since its inaugural issue was officially released in February 2021, the journal has been indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE, Impact Factor 6.8 as of June 2025), Ei Compendex, Scopus, INSPEC, DOAJ, WJCI, SAO/NASA-ADS, CSCD, and the Chinese Core Scientific Journals. It was also recognized as a Q1 TOP journal in both the Astronomy & Astrophysics and Engineering: Aerospace categories according to the 2025 CAS Journal Ranking.
